never take in what people promise you
you'll get more delights than disappointments.

eg.
your child tells u: i'll be home early today.
if he/she does, u will just feel alright.
if he/she doesnt, you'll be disappointed.

and

your child tells u: i'll be home early today,
but you dun expect him/her to.
when he/she really reach home early,
you'll be happy.
if he/she doesnt,
you wun be disappointed.

but on the contrary, wun this make promises meaningless?
