she may not be the best pistol woman around

but it's e composure that i look up to

so i find myself silly laughing over a bad shot i've done

stupid to get affect by it/them

one shot gone, 39 to go! dun ever let a few shots get u down

no matter wat happens tmr

it's gonna just be an experience

cuz im, not confident with watever action im doing now

kinda evaded e 2 tests of this week
econs and math
both get to take them home to do ;)

asian schools shooting championships
china, korea, malaysia, pakistan, singapore, thailand and maybe vietnam
duno how e hell sg managed to get so many ctys to participate
maybe cuz it's e first national school level based overseas comp
maybe cuz of youth olympics
haha

speaking of training

i have changed my aiming area from around 4 ring to 6-6.5 ring on tuesday
pro: smaller movement area resulted, from a 7-8 ring area to 9-9.5 ring area = more accurate shots
cons: more focus on target card (from ratio of relationship focus:card focus 9:1 to 7:3 i think?)
relationship tends to move subconsciously sometimes to touch e black area = high 8s

so my recent training cards is sth like 4-5 solid 10s, a few 9s and at least two 8s
lol
but can get used to it one!
cuz i believe only with change, den i can go up to another level in my shooting :)

met mrspoon today in e general office
not for some 'tea appreciation' session haha
i was there to ask e ppl at e counter bout some money im supposed to receive from moe some time ago
den mrspoon came in n kinda c wat's happening
after it's settled, i was about to leave
she stopped talking to e guy, telling him tt she wans to talk to me for a moment
oO...i was like: shit..im in trouble (haha joe im calling u :p)
she came to tell me tt she was looking at abel n mine results, which were kinda bad
and asked us wat happened
lol
i think she's quite a nice and concerning person
as in she talks to ppl in e office when she goes in
even to somebody who was like pushing a trolley of papers into e office
and she bothers to spend her time having 'tea appreciation' sessions with nj students
haha

and mrpoon(from wsss) is a interesting guy
think they r not related ba...though they have e same surname lol
he has been sending us emails bout asian sch shoot almost everyday
n they are usually at odd hours like 4am or 2am
lol

recently i received an email from him regarding the farewell dinner
that the measurements taken from the combined sch ppl after the nats prize ceremony was for some formal clothing for e dinner

so i emailed him:

he replied:

now tt im in j2, i have to tell mrpoon tt i cannot stay for the chalet
cuz i need to go to sch.....!

and i have to pick up my training again
though for a v short period of time

prom clashes with the trip actually if the dates are e same as last yr
but seriously duno wat's up with me
dun really feel like going to prom
though i was excited bout it like last yr cuz i din get to have prom during sec 4
so this 'll be my first time going for prom
and supposedly, should be excited bout it

going to prom with class dun sound exciting lol
call me anti social
but the closest ppl in my class (besides jo)
are only..yc, praba n nisha?

shooting club..most probably going with their own classes

suddenly rmbed tt jarence said tt im like one of the most not outcast person

after receiving the gift we had for her
she started hugging us one by one, crying

so many interesting things happened around me these few days
but kinda forgot most of them so well..
haha

kay i know my series distribution is screwed up
but actually i knew this would happen even before my results r out
for the 1st 30 shots i've been mostly 'going through the motions', esp for first 5 or 6 shots of each series...den only after tt i'll realise tt 'hey, i need to buck up a little'
and after that a few more 10s cuz ive been shooting alot alot of 9s.
8s are kept to a minimum of only 2 or 3 i think
but i shot like two 7s
during 1st n 3rd series lol
last series was like, 'ok, need to change my state of mind abit now'
den do everything slowly n v smoothly, putting card, inserting pellet, breathing in and out, lifting up of gun, lowering of gun and aiming and triggering
even my gun wun move so out-of-place cuz of tt
and trigger timing is more perfect
taking care of e fact tt i shouldnt try firing when my view's blurred
instead take eye rest whenever it happens (and it happens for almost every shot, so ya...v xinku)
haha..den here comes my pb series
lol XD

but i think it's quite noob la
to shoot a 98 series and cannot even hit 370
lol

Be sad about that (my screwed up series)

the funny thing is, sam went to help me pick it up...she took them and said: i'll put them further away

took a bus tt i tot was 853 from amk hub
halfway through e journey i was wondering y m i at upp thomson road.
slpt and woke up at some semb/woodlands industry area
wanted to alight and take e opp direction but reckons that it's too dangerous to do so - there were like almost a hundred of overseas workers around...lol
took the bus all the way to woodlands interchange, den i realised that it's actually 169
LOL
and i was still sleeping when it passed by yishun so uh huh...went all e way to woodlands.

left amk at 5.45 to reach home at 7.30

now with all the high-ness and the emo-ness over
i am finally able to speak some sense now, hopefully.

firstly, im really glad for every single support that was given to me during nationals period
having pistol girls to be present is expected yet not taken as a given
every grin they gave me before, during, and after the comp really like lit me up
though most of them may be sitting near xh and sam
but they would still occasionally turn and smile at me
kinda relieved my pressure and stress at times
thx alot girls

like tt bouncy lighting thingy jo gave me
i even tried to use it as a stress ball before comp but lest it burst i decided not to press too hard
but had fun tossing it around still..hehe

2ndly it's to jo, abel, csb and ah pek
im really surprised(more for e 3 guys) tt u would come down n support us girls
thx for sitting it through my shoot
feeling the intense feelings i was going through
telling me tt hey, im not alone.

to prem,
sorry for asking u not to be in
not tt u r bad but it's my bad, not able to take pressure
but thx for using up ur petrol to come to safra and support us girls
and the talk u had with them the day before our nats.

thx for being with every of us shooters shooting for nats

to my aiss juniors,
u guys are always around...proud of the club spirit that ive never really experience it before when i myself was in ai...lol

really glad to have such great nyt-apw mates!
though we are from diff schs (except for sam) and are competing with one another
we are not sour towards each other (i think..haha)
and still encourage each other in one way or another
for we share tt same amt of passion...for shooting
and tt we will to improve ourselves and excel in it :)

like dad, chris, justin, lihui etc etc

haha there were Alot of njcians in the range den when only 5 r supposed to be in
den i realised they can just go in easily in this way:
one with the pass walks out with another pass,
2 ppl walk in tgt.
one of the 2 ppl den walks out again with 2 passes,
and brings another person in

actually yesterday was a really nice n sweet day

realised that i actually have 5 days off after nationals to tidy up some stuff before going back to sch.

but at the same time, think i cant just dun train at all like i was in sec4
cuz i wasnt in nyt then and now im in it
for e promise of commitment ive given,
i think it's just for me to cont training regularly..but of lower frequency
like once a week or fortnight

for now i'll still be staying at nyt
though im starting to be too old for it (or i alrdy m..lol)

sometimes i wonder where shooting will bring me to
how far i'll be able to go on
and when will be the end point

wat i know for now, after my 365 for nationals
i'll never, ever, hit lower than 370 again for any competition again
small or major
a promise to myself subconsciously (not to be thought of during comp itself)
and for u readers to witness.

on a sidenote
i've been watching blood+ since june
nice anime...watched bout 30+ series le
and almost every series seems to be a climax
haha...
there are scenes tt r too bloody sometimes
but overall it's nice!

i think it's a really nice thing for a person to know how to console ppl
cuz for one, they can make ppl happier, if not feel better
and 2ndly, they are able to console themselves too..and thus are happier ppl

and i admire sam for tt ability.

and im so glad tt i din end it off so badly as i did last yr :)

pointers:
-too nervous, able to perform good shots, but wasted cuz of lack of confidence
-like the way im careful with my shots, but focused on the wrong things, AGAIN :(
-feel less nervous towards e end after being called out, but due to the fear of hitting 8s, i adopted the see-and-hit method, which i wrote in my diary, is supposed to gain some outer 10s. but in the end, it's all 9s, like..last 9 shots r all 9s :( hate that, for i lowered my standards of my shots in this way.

this is perhaps the only guilt i have for not doing my best for this shoot.

overall we own
team gold with our targeted 1100 (just nice hit the mark!)
indv 1st xinhang 375
indv 2nd me
indv 5th sam 360

b div has done well too
for non of them really crash their comp scores
so proud of them too..

the trend for the 3 div r like e same (for indv placing)
1st is surely someone with 37x
den 2nd would be like someone with not-so-high 360
lol
